9-12. One thing I noticed about the show is they did occasionally try to justify her role as the leader. I mean seriously justify it, not just mock her poor leading style.

And they usually failed miserably. The main problem is despite the fact she is the one that is supposed to make the plans to solve problems, they almost never show her thinking. Its always impulse ideas, and with the way she trials and errors her way through most monsters, I think its pretty clear the writers never heard of 'thought experiments'.

However without changing the existing character as set out in the show I was able to pull out this small justification of her leadership role. But still, she is mostly leader only because she is bossiest and not because of any qualifications.

Honestly I don't even think she is above average intelligence, its mostly just an act on her part. Though intelligence is learned not innate anyway so as long as she keeps trying to be smart, she'll eventually learn how to be smart.
