I really thought the last page would be funny enough to invite some sort of comments but guess not. I guess Brick in a Beauty Pageant isn't near as funny to others as to me.

1. I had to draw her belly button so I could actually have a chance of drawing her in proportion. Because for some reason again as I said, without being fully covered in clothes bad proportions really stand out.

2. Brick's own embarrassment is forgotten as he sees a chance to ruin Blossom's day.

4. Drawing Brick walking is kind of annoying because his black pants means I can't outline his legs so his two legs seem to merge together into one mass.

5-6. Shiny.

7-9. A little joke at the expense of all the women that I've seen declare Brick 'hot' 'sexy' and 'their first crush'. A crush they apparently still carry.

10. Child Beauty pageants are once of those issues I've never studied but based on what I've happened to see, is a pretty divisive issue. From what I can tell there are basically three camps

The first camp is the obvious one. They believe that Child Beauty pageants are bad because they promote vanity in children, sexualize them and enable pedophilia.

The second camp Opposes camp 1 and says that their knee jerk reaction against Child Beauty Pageants is a symptom of the way they already sexualize children. That they are unable to separate any kind of appreciation of physical beauty from sexuality and that their witch hunt is doing nothing except strengthening improper societal views. Then they point out how girls going to the Prom will get banned and abused by the school systems if their dresses are 'too promiscuous' because they distract their male chauffeurs. And how this is all nothing but blaming the victim.

The third camp says the first two camps are focusing on the wrong issues. That Child Beauty Pageants give children extreme self-image issues and low self-esteem. Simply because its focusing on something children have no control over, their own physical appearance. Children dread their own natural aging since each year changes their bodies in unpredictable ways which accelerates greatly at Puberty. Not only does this cause children to seek out ways to stop their own physical growth ( Children as young as Kindergarten know how to search the web) but even some especially competitive parents will sometimes provide their children with hormonal supplements that slow their growth in preparation for major pageants.

Compare this to various sports such as gymnastics in which breast growth can ruin their hopes of a future in said sport. And the rampant, illegal use of drugs to prevent breast growth. And the high rate of depression of girls who were just too well endowed.

My personal opinion is that Brick in a Beauty pageant is funny. But nobody agrees. :(

12. By the way who do you think should win? Brick or Blossom?
